About Ummi’s Way

My Mission

There are a lack Islamic Muslim learning materials in Western countries. So I created Ummi’s Way to help provide more learning materials for young Muslim children. I will provide both material for English learning and Arabic learning (Insha’Allah). But my main focus is to create material to help your child learn how to read Arabic and learn their religion, Al-Islam. I am a Muslim parent of two young girls ages 2 and 4. My four-year-old just started homeschooling and I had a hard time finding Islamic and Arabic content for her age. So everything I will be making and putting on the website will be what I am teaching her and as she grows I will continue to advance my material (Insha’Allah). This content wont contain any music or images, Insha’Allah, so this way, you will feel comfortable about allowing your child to learn from these materials and even hang them around the house! I also want to bring content and materials to help parents and teachers! I have much instore and have many ideas, but this will be a lot of work and will take a lot of time, so I ask you to stay patient with me and wait for more content to come each week! Insha’Allah

Who am I

My name is Umm Yalina, I am married with two beautiful girls who are the ages 4 and 2. I have an associates degree in Special Education and currently pursuing my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I am also a Certified Life Coach, where I help women achieve their goals and become successful.

I am currently also an Islamic studies teacher for children at my local Masjid. I take the studies of Islamic studies and Arabic very seriously and I am still advancing in my studies. I am currently in the process of completing Arabiya Bayna Yadayk and other books of knowledge with my teachers.

I am an artist and love to create both digital and non-digital works. I am very creative and love to invent different ways to help children learn and making materials that may be best for their education.
